Prof. Xie Lixin serves as Honorary President of Shandong Academy of Medical Sciences, Director of Shandong Eye Institute and Dean of Qingdao University College of Ophthalmology. He is Standing Committee Member and Cornea Group Chairman of Chinese Ophthalmological Society, Associate Editor-in-Chief of the Chinese Journal of Ophthalmology, Vice President of Asia Cornea Society, Board Member of International Ocular Surface Society, and Medical and Scientific Advisory Board Member of Tear Film & Ocular Surface Society.

      Dedicated to the basic research and clinical practice on cornea and cataract, Prof. Xie has made great achievements in terms of corneal endothelial cells, infective keratitis and intraocular drug delivery system. Among his honors are the Award of Chinese Ophthalmological Society (1998), the International Achievement Award of Louisiana State University Eye Center (1999), the Golden Key Award of Chinese-American Ophthalmological Society (2004), the Outstanding Achievement Award of Chinese Ophthalmological Society (2006), et al.
