谢立信院士简介

谢立信，1942年12月12日出生于山东省莱州市，男，汉族，中共党员，中国工程院院士，一级教授、主任医师、博士生导师。1965年毕业于山东医学院，后在美国路易斯安那州立大学眼科中心从事角膜病研究，2001年当选中国工程院院士。现任山东省眼科研究所名誉所长、青岛眼科医院院长、亚太角膜病学会名誉主席、中华医学会眼科学分会荣誉主任委员。是第八、九届全国人大代表，中共十六大代表，全国劳动模范。

谢立信教授于1991年在青岛创建山东省眼科研究所，现已拥有青岛眼科医院、山东省眼科医院（济南）两个三级甲等专科医院和山东省眼科学重点实验室，是眼科学国家重点学科建设单位、国家临床重点专科单位，现已成为集科研、医疗、教学为一体的我国主要眼科中心之一。谢立信教授主要从事眼科角膜病、白内障的应用基础研究和临床诊治，特别在角膜内皮细胞应用理论、感染性角膜病、白内障手术技术改进和眼内植入缓释药物等方面做出了突出贡献，是我国角膜病专业的领军者，白内障超声乳化微创手术的开拓者，中国眼库建设的主要创始人之一。培养硕、博士研究生120多人。获国家科技进步奖二等奖3项、山东省科技进步一等奖6项和山东省科学技术最高奖1项。出版专著5部，主编、主译和参编书籍30部，发表学术论文500余篇。先后获得中美眼科学会“金钥匙奖”、中华眼科杰出成就奖、美国眼科学会成就奖、亚太地区眼科学会“Arthur Lim奖”和“De Ocampo奖、何梁何利基金科学与技术进步奖、亚洲角膜基金会学术成就奖、中华眼科终身成就奖等奖项。在2015年中华医学会眼科学分会发布的“我国眼科科研人员近15年国内学术影响力”排名榜中居榜首。

目前，谢立信教授仍奋斗在临床和科研一线，他对眼科事业的不懈追求和辉煌成就深深激励着年轻一代眼科工作者。

Prof. Lixin Xie, ophthalmologist and doctoral supervisor, graduated from Shandong Medical College in 1965. He serves as honorary president of Chinese Ophthalmological Society, honorary president of Shandong Academy of Medical Sciences, and director of Shandong Eye Institute. Prof. Xie was elected member of Chinese Academy of Engineering in 2001.

Shandong Eye Institute was founded by Prof. Lixin Xie in Qingdao, Shandong Province, January 1991. The institute undertakes vision research, eye care, and medical education, and has developed into one of the major eye centers in China. Prof. Xie is engaged in the basic research and clinical work of cornea and cataract, particularly in the applied theory of corneal endothelial cells, surgical improvement in corneal infection and cataract, and development of intraocular drug delivery system. He pioneers in the corneal specialty and eye banking of China. He was also among the early ones who introduced cataract phacoemulsification to China. Prof. Xie has won nearly 20 national and provincial science and technology prizes as the principal investigator, authored five scientific books, and published over 500 medical papers, including more than 100 SCI journal papers as the first or corresponding author. Among his honors are the Golden Key Award of Chinese-American Ophthalmological Society, the Outstanding Achievement Award of Chinese Ophthalmological Society, American Academy of Ophthalmology’s Achievement Award, Arthur Lim Award and De Ocampo Award of Asia-Pacific Academy of Ophthalmology, and Ho Leung Ho Lee Foundation Prize for Scientific and Technological Progress. He ranked first in the ranking list of academic impacts of Chinese ophthalmologists in the past 15 years as announced by Chinese Ophthalmological Society in 2015.
